Set Default Monospace Font
Here is an example script how to set the “Courier Prime Code” font as default monospace font. This was tested on “Void Linux”:
#!/bin/bash
curl -o /tmp/courier-prime-code.zip https://quoteunquoteapps.com/courierprime/downloads/courier-prime-code.zip
7z -o/tmp x /tmp/courier-prime-code.zip
mv /tmp/ttf/*.ttf /usr/share/fonts/TTF/
rm -r /tmp/ttf/ /tmp/courier-prime-code.zip
fc-cache
# set default monospace font
cat <<EOF > /etc/fonts/local.conf
<?xml version='1.0'?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM 'fonts.dtd'>
<fontconfig>
<alias>
<family>monospace</family>
<prefer>
<family>Courier Prime Code</family>
</prefer>
</alias>
</fontconfig>
EOF
